Who We Are - The Vermilion Church of Christ

 

 

The Vermilion Church of Christ is a local congregation within the larger body of the Churches of Christ. The Church of Christ was founded in 33 A.D. in Jerusalem on the first Pentecost after the death of Christ (Acts 2). The local congregation in Vermilion is a body of believers who are attempting to stay true to the Bible, God inspired word, both in our beliefs and practices.

 

We are Christians only, refusing to use any man-made names, titles, creeds or traditions.

 

We believe that...

  • God exists

  • Jesus Christ is the son of God

  • The Bible is the inspired word of God

 

Our worship is simple, just as God commanded it should be. We meet upon the first day of each and every week. At that meeting we sing praises to God, study from God's word, observe a Memorial supper, give as we've been prospered and pray. Every attempt is made to be sure that we are worshiping in spirit and in truth.

 

We invite you to join us, to visit and see for yourself exactly what it is that we are all about.
